Gratitude

Pause.

We look forward to our Thanksgiving Holiday as a quiet time to count our blessings.  Gratitude is a universal principle in every world religion and most wellness philosophies.  It’s a vital practice taught by psychologists and life coaches.  Below, we’ll share some of our thoughts about this past year, hoping you are also sensing the peace of the day.

Reflect.

This year, we stand in awe of the professionals who completely upended their lives to save the lives of their COVID patients. Their selflessness has shown us what heroism looks like.  Their willing sacrifices stand as an example of our most noble impulses.

We also honor and thank the courageous firefighters who charged into the horrifying infernos that raged through our western forests.  While our friends ran from their homes fearing for their lives, these incredible professionals were running toward the flames, ready to do their jobs, fighting through the night until they dropped from exhaustion.

We’re not forgetting the essential workers who maintain our supply chain.  With only a minor, temporary wobble, we have had groceries and all the invisible services that sustain our lives.  We pause for a moment to remember that we live within a vast brotherhood of people who cheerfully and reliably cooperate to make our way of life possible, providing everything from education to electricity.  We continue to take care of each other in our neighborhoods and communities and around the world.  We are pleased and humbled to pause for a day to thank everyone who plays a part in this amazing circle of civilization.

Appreciate.

And the biggest round of grateful applause goes to you, those who have allowed us to partner with you to find a great team member or a terrific job.  We are so thankful for each of you!  We’ll be back in the office bright and early on Monday, full of gratitude for our shared day of Thanksgiving.  Contact us at amy.bray@axelerate.com or give us a call at 425.922.6800.  We look forward to reconnecting with you about the highlights of your Thanksgiving holiday.
